i live in an older mobile home with aluminum window frames. the window parts that slide back and forth are loose in their tracks. this lets cold air in during the winter. is there anything i can do to fix this short of replacing the whole windows or covering them up with plastic film each winter? thank you.

I have a problem with water supply to sinks,tubs,toilets & water heater.The problem started when lightning striked & blew wwater holding tank @ well down the field.I repaired that & got water flowing to home but am only getting water to master bath tub (cold water only) toilet in m-bath.I got under crawl space & cut line from well to purge obstructions or to see if any existed & reattached with shark bite coupling on PEX 3/4″ waterline piping. I did this in 4 different places trying to get water flow restored, to no avail.I even took the valve stems out @ kitchen faucet & shoved wire down line trying to force restriction out, to no avail.I pulled bottom water heater element out & shopvacced about 10″ of sediment & removed cold water line feeding the heater with well pump on & will not come out harder than a ***. pls help with any suggestions

I just bought a house trailer that is in on a 55 + Mobile home park in Leesburg,Fl. I didn’t know it at the time, that the elec. box that the meter is attached to was in bad shape & didn’t supply adequate elec. to the home , enough to run the central air & heat or the elec. stove. It had a BURNT WIRE in the box ( or can ) & the elec. co. removed the meter till it is repaired. PLEASE TELL ME WHO IS LIABLE FOR THOSE REPAIRS –the seller or the buyer OR CAN THE SELLER LEGALLY SELL THAT HOME WITH A FAULTY ELEC. OR NO ADEQUATE ELEC. SOURCE. ????????

My boyfriend and I just bought an as is mobile home. We liked it but when we looked at it the water wasn’t on. We asked the lady before we bought it why the water wasn’t on and she said it will be turned on after we buy it and do the final walk through because it might leak so no big deal. We waited 1 week for her to have time to do a walk through. Still no water. When they did the walk through they said the water leaks outside so we have to get it repaired. Half ther responsibility half ours. 3 weeks later no water, no estimate for our “share”, and we have no money to get it fixed on our own. We don’t have any money for an attorney and they know it. We are trying to figure out how we are going to pay our rent on the first. The reason for the financial problem is cps got involved with me at my previous address because my 11 year old son fell asleep in class and they think he has a 2am bedtime everynight so to avoid him going into foster care my boyfriend quit his job. For some reason I need a 24 hour babysitter for my 11 year old son even when he’s sleeping.

A small kitchen, dining, bar living room combo. And a very small laundry room in hall. Not in great shape, but somewhat livable if your standards are low. Needs quite of bit of work to repair a leak on roof, floor repair and leaky faucets. The trailer sits on a spot that is not owned by trailer owner. The plumbing pipes need reworked and the septic tank needs reworking. Most of the windows are cracked and don’t seal properly. The floors have holes in places. I want to make a fair offer just to get the people out of it so I can either improve or move it out as it is an eyesore.
